It's going to be a Great Year...
Dear Friends, Families and Students,
We hope you are all as excited as we are about the New Year. First, let me start off by sharing: because of you, your children, your family, and your friends, Kids World Gymnastic's positive and healthy environment continues to grow. With this wonderful facility, our enthusiastic and energetic staff, and involved parents, we are making a difference. We are all helping our children realize the importance of exercise and accomplishments for their well-being and confidence. It is essential for our children to develop the passion for learning at an early age and we are pleased to play an important role in this developmental process.
Secondly, I also want to introduce the newest member to the Kids World family. Her name is Kelly Kirby. She brings great experience, enthusiasm, and passion to all of our programs. So look for her and say Hello. I am sure you all will be just as excited about her as we are.
So if there is anything we can do to better your child(s) experience please let us know. We are striving to make Kids World Gymnastics an important part of your lives.
Let’s Have a GREAT 2008!!

Area News...
Our Cheerleading Program is Growing - Because we are reaching so many new students with our cheerleading program, we'll be adding new modules in our recreational classes. Currently, each class includes different combinations of stretching, toning, tumbling, stunts, jumps, cheers and chants. Starting in the new session which begins Feb. 4th, we're adding a module teaching routines set to music for all our age levels.
Parents Night Out are for Non-Members, too. Once a month, we offer a night of special gymnastics fun while parents take an evening out. For just $15 a child, this monthly opportunity is great for children to bring neighbors, friends or siblings who may not currently be enrolled in any of our classes. They need a signed permission slip, be age 6 or older and wear comfortable clothes. The upcoming dates are:
- Friday, January 18th
- Friday, February 15th (day after Valentines Day!!!)
- Friday, March 14th
For more information or to make reservations, contact us or call 838-JUMP. |

Recreational Cheerleading...
This month has been an exciting one. We have opened another pee-wee cheer class and another general cheer class on Monday nights.
We are also welcoming a new coach, Miss Danielle!
- In our pee-wee cheer classes, we are working on learning and perfecting new chants and working on basic stunts and jumps.
- In our general cheer classes we are working on more difficult cheers and chants, perfecting our jump approach and getting our awesome flyer Kalia to do some pretty cool stunts.
- In cheer tumbling, we are lucky to have Coach Eric helping us, which means we are being pushed to new limits. We are looking forward to our program growing and working hard for the Spring Showcase!

Kids World Gymnastics is proud of every student in our program. We want you to see what your child can do and how much they've grown, so Our Students Showcase Event is the highlight of the season. So, our Fun-oriented meet is set for:
Saturday & Sunday - April 5th & 6th

Say Hello To Pre-Team Tramp & Tumble...
The start of Session III marked the beginning of the Trampoline & Tumbling Pre-Team. This class, like the Level 3 Gymnastics class, is a stepping stone to the competitive program. The classes meet on Tuesdays and Fridays and are taught by head team coach Eric Miller.
Pre-team offers a wonderful opportunity for class kids to work on the more advanced skills that they will need to become part of the competitive team. To become a part of this group, the student needs to have a recommendation from either their class coach or a team coach.
The pre-team group has only been training for about a month, but they have already met with success. More than half the group can land their front flips by themselves. Three of them – Allison, Nicole, and Malik – can do standing backhandsprings on their own, and Colin can do five in a row. Colin also has back flips; Allison and Malik are close as well.
Competition is not a requirement for this group, but one of them – Holly – will be showcasing her talents at the St. Jude’s Benefit Meet in January. And everyone should get a chance to see them all demonstrate their abilities at the Spring Showcase!
Gymnastics Program
With the weather cold outside, it's great to see that things are really heating up in our general gymnastics classes. The combination of skills building, perfecting techniques and increase strength and flexiblity is part of every class.
Tumbling Tots
We've added new classes for different age levels. All classes are working on coordination, following directions and basic gymnastics skills. It's fun and rewarding to work with these little tykes.
