Dear Friends, Families and Students,

Summer is approaching fast so this means most of our athletes are ready for summer break. Summer for Kids World Gymnastics means more exciting time for camps, training, and fun filled events.

Everyday I am impressed with how well our students and coaches are doing while we continue to make our facility the safest and most exciting around.

Please take a moment to introduce yourselves to all of our new cheerleading coaches. Their experience and professionalism will compliment and improve our St. Louis Elite Cheerleading squads. The combination of talent along with the strong foundation from a technical gymnastics background is a perfect formula for developing strong, confident, respectable athletes. Plus a GREAT BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO BECKY, Gym Manager, for expecting yet another baby! We love that this family continues to grow! Everyone here at Kids World Gymnastics is truly tickled with excitement for her and her family!

Current Class Activities:

Preschool Gymnastics

Our littlest athletes sometimes make the biggest improvements!  These boys and girls never cease to amaze us!  We have been working on skills and routines for our annual SPRING SHOWCASE and these kids are really doing well at remembering the routines.  Look for information to be coming out soon regarding our SHOWCASE event, we hope to have nearly 100% participation.  This will be an excellent time to invite grandma and grandpa to see what your child has learned.

Recreational Gymnastics

Our gymnastics coaches are keeping their eyes open for those girls who are ready to move up and those who show excitement for the sport. We have the girls working on skills that will be needed to move up to the next level and the girls are doing a wonderful job on the new skills. With the great progress we are seeing from the girls there are many hopefuls for the next level.  We are very excited to see who will be ready to move up for the May/June session.  Keep up the hard work girls!

Pre-Team Gymnastics

Our new competitive group of level 3 and level 4 gymnasts had a great 1st season.  All of the athletes had the opportunity to compete in two meets and they did amazing!  All of our level 3’s and one of our level 4’s have qualified for the State meet!  Congratulations to Sydney, Katie, Miranda, and Domonique who all competed against girls from other gyms from all around Missouri. Everyone had improved skills, leading to improved scores.  Domonique also walked away with the leadership award, Good Job Domonique!  What a terrific season, good job girls!

Trampoline & Tumbling

Kids World's Trampoline and Tumbling classes have been growing and improving in an excellent way! Our atheletes are improving their skills, flexibility and strength while learning the routines, rules and confidence required for their fun and active sport! We are always looking for talented atheletes ready to move up to our Pre Team classes!

Don't forget that summer is just around the corner and there is no time like the present to enroll in an exciting summer activity such as a TnT class or our Discovery Day Camp!

St. Louis Elite

Congratulations to all of our St. Louis Elite Trampoline and Tumbling team members on a spectacular job at the USA Gymnastics Trampoline and Tumbling Missouri 2009 State Championships. We had a total of ELEVEN 1st place finishes with a total of 22 medals. Plus we won 2 team awards: Overall Team Award Trampoline Level 8 & Overall Team Award Tumblng Level 8.

This is outstanding! Way to go my fellow Flippers!

Also congratulation to Clayton for making the USA Gymnastics Jump Start National Team.

Clayton will be performing at the Grand Marchat Nationals with the other team members during the Regional All Star Competition.

St. Louis Elite Cheer Team

We are excited to announce our next St. Louis Elite Cheerleading tryouts are scheduled for Saturday, May 16th, 2009 at Kids World Gymnastics!
~ All Ages & Levels: 3:00-5:00pm

By the way, on Sunday, May 3rd, we had over 50 people try-out for our Cheerleading Program - one of the best in the history of St. Louis Elite.

St. Louis Elite has recently re-staffed its cheerleading program with coaches who practice the core values of our program. Each of our coaches brings their own unique element to our program. Our strengths in cheerleading coupled with our gymnastics expertise is just the recipe to produce a TOP cheerleading program in the St. Louis area.

The staff of St. Louis Elite is also very mindful that our patrons and any new prospects we have are all feeling the effects of these rough economic times. In an effort, to shield additional cost from our families, we will be recycling this year’s team cheerleading uniform and using it again for our 2009-2010 season.

Fundraising - Putting Money Back In Your Pocket!

A new focus has been put forth on various fundraising opportunities for the 2009-2010 season. Our staff is working hard to offer an array of events that your family can participate in to help put money back into your pocket. Any suggestions or ideas you have to offer are always welcome and greatly appreciated.
