What is St. Louis Elite?
St. Louis Elite is the name of all the competitive teams at Kids World Gymnastics. Currently, we involve children from ages 4 to 18 in competitive levels of Trampoline and Tumbling, a specialized area of Gymnastics, and Competitive All-Star Cheerleading. We help athletes and their families fully participate in training, conditioning, choreography, competitions and equipment needed for success fundraising to help financially support St. Louis Elite Trampoline and Tumbling Team and St. Louis Elite All-Star Cheerleading Team.
Our team members earned their places on the St. Louis Elite teams by meeting the following criteria:
- progressed through recreational class levels
- endorsement by coaching staff through tryouts
- proven commitment to personal training
- maintained average or above average grades in school
- have full support of parents and family
- committed to healthy and wholesome lifestyle
- promote positive team spirit
- residents of the Greater St. Louis area
The St. Louis Elite Board of Directors is a diverse group of volunteers, parents and coaches carrying on the mission to enable youth athletes with proven talent and skills to participate in local, regional, state and national competitions. They oversee the proper training and equipment needs as well as administrate the entry fees, travel and coaching expenses for the teams.
Where do the St. Louis Elite Teams train?
We are pleased to train at the newly renovated 19,000 square foot facility at Kids World Gymnastics, 8701 Dunn Road in Hazelwood, Missouri. This locally owned business provides recreational instruction for children as young as 18 months up through high school and college age. With a 20 member coaching staff leading programs in Tumble Tots, General Gymnastics, Trampoline and Tumbling, Cheer Dance and Cheerleading, Kids World Gymnastics serves 200+ families and over 350 members.
Winning results already...
St. Louis Elite Trampoline and Tumbling Team won five gold, four silver, and three bronze medals in the USAG Region IV Trampoline and Tumbling Regional Championships in May. Then, the team went on to win 19 top ten places at the 2008 USA Gymnastics Trampoline & Tumbling National Championships competition held July 1 – 6, 2008 at the Kansas City Convention Center.
The 2007-2008 season for the St. Louis Elite All-Star Cheerleading Team brought home 12 national championship titles and 6 Grand national titles. A competitive Hip-Hop Team was added in early 2008 with over 50 talented performers trying out.
Both teams participate in community events, charitable fund raising, demonstrations, performances and civic activities.
